EGGING US ON - BUD-LABELLED EGGS
BUD-LABELLED EGGS LAID BY CONTENT HENS
Of course there is no difference between a Bud-labelled egg and a conventional egg in terms of shape and colour; and little difference in their amino acid and vitamin content. But there is a real difference in the feeding and breeding of organic laying hens, and the way they are kept and cared for. Laying hens reared to Bud label standards are given free range, plenty of daylight and enough space to allow healthy social behaviour.
NEWS FROM THE MARKET
The organic egg market is still building up, but already shows promising development. This requires extensive planning of the supply side. The relatively small market share of 3-5% reacts very sensitively to fluctuations in quantity. You will find statistics on the German-language website.
WHERE TO BUY BUD-LABELLED EGGS FROM HAPPY HENS
